What would you tell someone who is starting their first week with The Grit Collective(TGC)?
Be patient, anything that is this life changing takes patience and consistency !
What is your profession?
How do you prefer to workout?
At Crossfit 1Force in the morning, but really any time I can get there to expend my energy and clear my head!
What is your favorite aspect of TGC?
The support!! Kto and the Grit team are always there for questions and suggestions and we make each other better every day!
How has TGC changed your attitude/ ideas/feeling around food?
I like food. A LOT. I’ve always said I workout so I can eat what I want...but that has changed, now I eat so I can workout the way I want! Oh trust me, I still like food A LOT, but I’m smarter about what I eat and when, plus I swear I enjoy the splurges more!
How has TGC impacted your training?
Wow, huge impact on my training!! Before I started Grit, I was just trying to “survive” each workout, now I know what my body needs and when to get the most of my workout...so not only do I “survive” I actually have fun!!
What is your go-to meal?
Slow cooker buffalo shredded chicken!
What macro strategy has helped you the most?
Balancing my fat and carbs to allow for my red meat obsession and not have to eat chicken all the time!
What challenges did you face throughout the program?
Figuring out that I can really do this while I travel for work! I used to use travel as an excuse to be inconsistent...I’ve learned I have a lot more self control than I thought and feel so much better when I’m consistent!
What’s the biggest change you’ve noticed( body, mind, gym or other)?
I’m stronger, healthier, happier, calmer, manage stress much better...I could go on forever it’s a full life change!
What has been you biggest/ favorite win overall?
Rx’ing an Open workout for the first time!
Favorite product or recipe?
What is your goal? Has your goal changed? If so, how?
It was weight loss when I first started but after 30 lbs gone, now I want to be the fittest I can be!
KTo picks up heavy objects, makes sense of macros, provides simple meal prep plans, advises on flexible dieting solutions, celebrates strength, and occasionally overdoses on pizza.
