My living room/garage/basement/the great outdoors
What would you tell someone who is starting their first week with TGC?
Be patient...with yourself, with your macros, and with results. It takes a little while to get the hang of this whole macro thing. But once you do it’s like riding a bike.
What is your profession?
Part-time Personal Trainer/Full-time Mom
How do you prefer to workout?
Circuit training/interval running/light weight crossfit workouts
What is your favorite aspect of The Grit Collective(TGC)?
Having flexible dieted before for many years I needed a jump start to gain back muscle/lose fat post pregnancy. Kto understood fully my goals and gave me the perfect macro plan to fuel me all day long. She’s relatable, encouraging and an all around badass chick! Thankful for her friendship and support!
How has TGC changed your attitude/ ideas/feeling around food?
No guilt! My husband and I usually do 1-2 untracked meals during the weekend. It makes being perfect during the week worth it to have some treats but also plan around them.
How has TGC impacted your training?
I’ve noticed mostly in my endurance. I’ve always hated running but I’ve recenlty got into some interval running that I don’t love but don’t hate (ha!) I’ve noticed the workouts aren’t has hard as I think they will be.
What is your go-to meal?
Eggs! I love breakfast anything! I usually have oatmeal w/ protein, cottage cheese and some kind of egg meal everyday. I could live off of breakfast all day everyday.
What macro strategy has helped you the most?
Pre-planning and eating the same thing all week. I have no problem picking meals on Sunday to prep and eat the same thing everyday for a week. And then I change it up the next week. It’s the easiest way for me to stay in track!
What challenges did you face throughout the program?
When my monthly friend comes along...I want allllll the chocolate. So I make sure to save some room for bite sized chocolates here and there.
What’s the biggest change you’ve noticed( body, mind, gym or other)?
In the first 3 months I’ve gained 1lb of muscle and lost 1.5 lbs of fat!
What has been you biggest/ favorite win overall?
Waking up and not feeling bloated...plus eating the right amount of fiber keeps you normal💩
Favorite product or recipe?
Flatout quesadilla w/ chicken, fire roasted peppers and onions and low fat shredded cheese (always w low fat sour cream!)
What is your goal? Has your goal changed? If so, how?
My goal is to lose fat and gain muscle. Plain and simple right?!
KTo picks up heavy objects, makes sense of macros, provides simple meal prep plans, advises on flexible dieting solutions, celebrates strength, and occasionally overdoses on pizza.
