Meet Team Grit Member, Candell! Candell defines consistency in this program. From week one she made meal planning and prepping a priority and continued to stay consistent through family vacations and holidays. Her hard work in the kitchen and as a badass Crossfitter is undeniable. It's been rewarding and SUPER FUN to watch her eat more food, lift more weights, smash PRs, and shred up!
What would you tell someone who is starting their first week with The Grit Collective (TGC)?
Plan your meals ahead, and trust your numbers!
What is your favorite aspect of TGC?
The daily login! I need that accountability .
How has TGC changed your attitude/ ideas/feeling around food?
I now look at food as fuel. I realize my body needs the right macros to fuel it properly.
How has TGC impacted your training?
My lifts feel more solid and my training energy is great.
What is your go-to meal?
I look forward to breakfast. I have an egg sandwich everyday. I have 2 pieces of Ezekiel bread with guacamole on it, egg whites, and spinach.
What challenges did you face throughout the program?
Avoiding peanut butter because I have no control!
What’s the biggest change you’ve noticed( body, mind, gym or other)?
I’m definitely more toned. More importantly than that though, my mind is clear and my energy and patience is at it’s highest. Being a teacher, those two items are key!
What has been you biggest/ favorite win overall?
Just being able to hit my numbers and still feel great.
What is your goal? Has your goal changed? If so, how?
My initial goal was to cut some weight. Now that I’ve achieved that, I’m looking to build muscle. My future goal is a set of abs!
