What would you tell someone who is starting their first week with The Grit Collective?
Be patient and you will see results. Before starting Grit, I would eat way under my calorie intake in order to lose weight quickly. However, I realized that is 1) not healthy and 2) you will gain it back quickly. Losing weight takes time and patience, which is a reason why I decided to choose Grit.

What is your favorite aspect of Grit?
Eating more food while losing weight!
How has The Grit Collective changed your attitude/ ideas/feeling around food?
It reminded me that you have to eat the right quality of foods, but in moderation and you will see results. I used to either 1) rely on shakes/eat way under my calories and 2) over eat on the weekends which would ruin my hard work during the week.
How has Grit impacted your training?
For the better! My strength has increased and cardio has improved a ton. It's nice to see that you can still lose weight without compromising your strength.
What is your go-to meal?
Egg whites, plain bagel, 1oz cheese and 2 tbsp of ketchup! Of course with an espresso!
What macro strategy has helped you the most?
Just tracking my macros and holding myself accountable to ensure I hit those numbers each day. Have there been days that I was over or under? Absolutely - life happens and it is about how you overcome adversity. Do not let one day change all of the hard work you have been putting into tracking your food. Stick with it, and you will see the results!
What challenges did you face throughout the program?
In the beginning, I wouldn't see changes as quickly as I would like. I used to think that this would be something that would magically happen overnight. I was wrong, and I am glad that I was wrong. It takes time, effort, and patience - which has helped me tremendously.
What’s the biggest change you’ve noticed( body, mind, gym or other)?
I would say all (body, mind, and gym). I look better, my mental approach to eating has changed completely, and I am performing a lot better at the gym!
What has been your biggest/ favorite win overall?
My mental approach to eating and knowing that just because you are eating more, it doesn't mean you will gain weight. It is all about balance and eating the right foods.
Favorite product or recipe?
Believe it or not, I found chickpeas to be a great snack! There is a brand called Biena and they have many different flavors and amazing macros!
What is your goal? Has your goal changed? If so, how?
My goal is to look better while getting stronger. I am currently on that path and there is no stopping me now!
